Before Arrival

Make sure you announce your arrival to Accommodation Office before 15 December to confirm your application. Note: if you do not announce your arrival, you will lose your guaranteed accommodation. Keep in mind that there is a housing shortage, so students are strongly urged to follow through with the student housing application. After admission, you were given instructions on how to activate a JU user account to access the invoice system. Note: This user account is a temporary account before registration.


Now it's time to activate your JU student account and register. More information will be sent about one week before the start of the studies.

You need a JU card to access premises on campus, borrow books from the University Library, access printers, get student discounts, etc.

  • You should order your JU card when activating your account. More info can be found at

JU Card routine for Pathway students

  • You will receive your temporary access card to Campus Gränna at the Pick-up service.
  • On 16 January you will get help with study registration, creating a student account and ordering a Jönköping University Card (JU-card).
  • You will receive an email at your student mail informing you when the JU-card is ready for pick-up.
  • On 17 January at 14:30 you will together with your class mates and staff, visit Service Center to pick up your JU-card. IMPORTANT! Make sure to bring your temporary access card in order to receive your JU-card!

JU Mobile allows you to access your schedule through the app as well as book rooms, register for exams, see your study results, view the news, etc. You can download it on the App Store, or Google Play.

At JU, it is compulsory for all students to become members of Jönköping Student Union. The Student Union is a great resource for students – they influence the quality of education, arrange activities and trips, carry out various projects, and much more. The student union fee is included in the tuition for tuition-fee paying students, however, all other students are required to pay the membership fee separately. The Student Union is located in the Students’ House. Learn more here:

We expect you to be in Gränna for the roll call when the semester starts. If you can not arrive on time and you have informed, we grant late arrivals until 28 February. After that we can grant individuals to arrive later, up until 31 March. Do not forget to inform and your teachers at as well.


Are you arriving late? Do not worry, we will ensure students who have contacted us can participate online. Note that to be able to keep your place you have to partake in lectures, workshops and group work online.
