Upgrading of GroupWise

It’s time for an upgrade of the university email software GroupWise. This is how it will affect you:

What is it going to happen?

The GroupWise software on university computers (except Mac) will be upgraded from version 2012 to version 2014, which is the latest.

How does the upgrade work?

If your computer is on campus and is connected to the university network, the new version will automatically download. The installation process starts the next time the computer is restarted.  If your computer is on during the night, an automatic restart and installation will happen during that time.

How long does the upgrade take?

About 5 minutes.

Can I use the computer in the meantime?

The computer can be used, but not GroupWise.

How do I know that the installation is complete?

It is done when there is a red shortcut icon for GroupWise on the desktop.
