Jönköping University will co-host when Europe’s largest higher education conference comes to Sweden

In September 2021, Sweden will host EAIE (the European Association for International Education), Europe's largest, and the world’s second largest international conference in higher education. Around 6,000 people from higher education institutions from over 95 countries are expected to attend the conference in Gothenburg.

The conference is organized by EAIE and six Swedish universities are hosts: Jönköping University, Chalmers, University of Gothenburg, University of Borås, University of Halmstad and University of Skövde.

The EAIE platform is a unique environment where opportunities are offered to exchange experiences in higher education with institutions from all over the world. The opportunity to make contacts enriches both the university and the region as a whole, says Agneta Marell, President of Jönköping University.

During the annual conference; presidents, politicians, heads of international departments and others active in international education, gather to network, and participate in workshops and lectures. In addition, more than 350 international organizations will participate as exhibitors. The exhibitors come from around 30 countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, South Africa, USA, China and New Zealand.
