Communications Day JKPG gathered industry experts
On November 17, the Communications Day JKPG was broadcasted from the TV studio at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University. This year’s, event attracted 110 participants who got to listen to seven lecturers with different perspectives on communication.
The domestic violence highlighted during Orange Day
Orange Day is an initiative by the UN, also called the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and is highlighted annually on 25 November, during this week the national initiative “A week free from violence” (En vecka fri från våld) has also been going on. Through education and research, Jönköping University (JU) contributes to increasing the knowledge of domestic violence and preventive measures.
Grassroots esports – more than just gaming
Jönköping has a thriving esports scene and research from Jönköping University has shown that, here in the city of Dreamhack, it’s the local esports activists that have played a big part in making this so. Dr. Brian McCauley, an esports researcher at Jönköping International Business School, has studied esports at the grassroots level and can see that the local actors are serious players in this growing industry.
Great success for career day at School of Engineering
Around 100 companies and 1,500 students participated in the career day Karriärum on 17 November at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University. Many appreciated that it was a physical fair after last year's digital event.
Jönköping University at Elmia Subcontractor
Jönköping University (JU) participated in several activities at Elmia Subcontractor, 9-12 November. Annika Engström, Assistant Professor Work Organisation, at the School of Engineering (JTH), led a panel discussion on her research project Innovate and 17 JTH students participated in a workshop on sustainable production with several companies.
