Kristina Sollander was born and raised in Mullsjö, Sweden. She has worked in various positions within the plastics industry and has also run a tourism business focused on nature tourism. In 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Industrial Organization and Economics, specializing in Logistics and Management, from the School of Engineering at Jönköping University. The following year, she obtained a Master of Science in General Management from Jönköping International Business School. In 2023, she completed a doctoral dissertation titled "Unplanned Managerial Work: A Driver for Knowledge Creation and Innovation Capabilities in Manufacturing SMEs" at the School of Engineering at Jönköping University.

Today, Kristina is employed as a university lecturer in the Department of Supply Chain and Operations Management. She is interested in collaborative research, particularly in connection with industry, with a focus on managerial work, work organization, and innovation capabilities.
