Challenges and a proposed model.</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;Description:</strong>&nbsp;During the last decade, innovation policymakers across Europe have extended their scope. Besides supporting growth and welfare, they now also want to drive more fundamental change in society, the economy, and the environment: a most complex and long-term task. Challenges arise. One of the consequences: New evaluation approaches are needed. This is an attempt to outline a structured and practical approach for such evaluation, based on identified challenges and conditions that frame the field of innovation policy evaluation.&nbsp;</p>
