The benefits of JIBS bachelor's programmes
The JIBS bachelor’s advantage
Get a head start on your global career in Business and Economics
All our bachelor programmes give you more than just a degree – they prepare you to thrive in a fast-changing, global business world.
Shared foundation – unique opportunities
The first year is common for all programmes and provides a broad foundation in business and economics, covering subjects such as organisation, finance, marketing, accounting, micro- and macroeconomics, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. From the second year, you specialise within your chosen programme and tailor your education to match your ambitions. All programmes conclude with a thesis project, allowing you to apply and integrate what you have learned throughout your studies.
At JIBS, you’ll study in an international environment where entrepreneurial thinking and responsibility are central values. Along the way, you can broaden your experience through electives, a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities, or an internship in Sweden or overseas.
Global recognition and career value
JIBS is among the top 1% of business schools worldwide, holding the prestigious Triple Crown accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA). We are also ranked by the Financial Times as one of Europe’s best business schools, which means you can be confident that your degree is internationally recognised and valued by employers across the globe.
Our unique combination of international outlook and Nordic embeddedness, entrepreneurial spirit, and practical experience equips you with the skills, networks, and confidence to launch your global career.
Internship
In this programme you have the possibility to do a 10-week internship during your elective semester if you don’t choose to study abroad at one of our partner universities. This internship can be done anywhere in the world and is a great opportunity to see how you can apply economic theories and tools to real-life problems.
Study abroad
This programme offers a possibility for you to study abroad at one of our many partner universities. This is a great opportunity for you to specialize in an area of your interest, to explore a new country and culture, and to meet new friends.
The international vibe can be experienced already here at JIBS as approximately 40% of this programme’s students are from outside of Sweden.
After graduation
After graduation you can work with economic issues in areas such as environmental management, health, finance, regional development, and business development. There are also possibilities to work with these issues within international organisations such as the EU, the UN, or the OECD. Work tasks might include data collection, market analyses, managing financial assets, or working on economic or strategic issues.
After graduation you will also be eligible for the master programme Applied Economics and Data Analysis at JIBS, as well as many other master programmes in economics all over the world.
