Anna Bjällmark obtained her doctoral degree in 2010 from the Royal Institute of Technology with a thesis focused on ultrasound-based methods for evaluating cardiovascular function. Since then she has continued to work in the field with a focus on ultrasound method development.

Since 2017, Anna has been working at the School of Health and Welfare. Her research interests encompass various areas within radiography, including radiation safety, the use of contrast agents, and applications of artificial intelligence from the perspective of teh ardiographer. Additionally, she is engaged in projects exploring the connection between abdominal aortic aneurysms and oral health.
