<p>Lecture title -&nbsp;<strong>Climate crisis: the necessity of and potential for the great transformation ahead</strong></p><p>The lecture will include a short summary on the state of the climate as a background for an analysis of the necessity of a rapid and large transformation of economic and industrial sectors. Focus will be on core issues, challenges as well as opportunities in a Swedish and global context. The short time now available for a take off in climate mitigation will be addressed. There will be time for questions at the end of the lecture.&nbsp;</p><p><em>Staffan Laestadius</em> is Professor Emeritus in industrial transformation at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. As Emeritus he has focussed on presenting his research in monographs in Swedish: <em>Klimatet och v&auml;lf&auml;rden</em> (2013); <em>Klimatet och omst&auml;llningen</em> (2018) and <em>En strimma av hopp</em> (2021).&nbsp;</p>

Staffan Laestadius is Professor Emeritus in industrial transformation at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
