The Council for Undergraduate and Master Education (CUME) is a decision-making body within JIBS’ education organization. The council is expected to monitor the overall quality of JIBS’ degree programmes at Bachelor and Master level as well as the quality assurance system for degree programmes.

CUME decides on new course syllabi, changes to existing course syllabi, and changes to existing degree programme syllabi. For new programme proposals, CUME recommends decisions to the Dean. The council provides input on matters relating to JIBS’ strategy and budget as well as on processes, policies, and rules relating to operational aspects of education at JIBS and JU.

In terms of representation, appointed members have the following responsibilities:

1) To ensure that discussions and decisions in CUME are recognised and enacted in the respective entities and functions.

2) To ensure that voices inform discussions and decisions in CUME in their respective entity or function.
