JIBS student nominated for Global Swede 2015

Jönköping University has nominated Cristina Hidalgo, student at Jönköping International Business School, to the Global Swede award.

On May 12 the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs arranges the ceremony Global Swede for international students. The purpose of the ceremony is to recognize foreign students and their role as ambassadors of Sweden. To receive the award, the student must have good academic results, be prominent in innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship within his or her academic skills and be a good ambassador for the university and for Sweden.

The price is awarded for the fifth time. This time the Minister for Enterprise and Innovation, Mikael Damberg, awards the price, together with Annika Rembe, General Director of the Swedish Institute.

Cristina Hidalgo comes from Panama and is a student at the Master's programme IT, Management and Innovation at JIBS. She is nominated by Jönköping University with the motivation:

”Cristina Hidalgo is enrolled in the master program of IT, Management and Innovation at Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University. She has concluded all her courses with very good results and takes an active part in in the development of her master program, acting as program evaluator and representing the student body in the faculty group. What signifies Cristina is a combination of intellectual capacity, entrepreneurial mindset, and outstanding social abilities, including inter-cultural competence. “ Jönköping University is proud to nominate Cristina as Global Swede 2014 .
