Historical agreement between JIBS and African universities

For the first time ever four leading Universities in four of the fastest growing economies in the world will join hands together with Sweden.

On May 8th in Kigali, Rwanda, the leaders of the most prominent Colleges and Business Schools in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Sweden will sign a historical agreement on cooperation.

Under the umbrella of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Development (EID) Jรถnkรถping International Business School (JIBS), the College of Business and Economics at University of Rwanda, the College of Business and Economics at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, the College of Business and Management Sciences at Makerere University, Uganda and the University of Dar Es Salaam Business School, Tanzania will agree to work together in four areas;

  • PhD education in Management and Economics
  • Research in Management and Economics
  • Research dissemination platforms
  • Private sector development

As many of the challenges and opportunities are of similar kind for the African partners within EID, the potential of success of the partnership is great and the contributions to national and regional development will be substantial.
