JIBS student nominated for Global Swede

Jönköping University has nominated a student to the Global Swede award. Awais Ghulam Nabi is a student at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and participated in the ceremony at the Swedish Institute in Stockholm on 29 April.

On 29 April the Swedish Institute arranged the ceremony Global Swede for international students on behalf of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the ceremony is to recognize foreign students and their role as ambassadors of Sweden. To receive the award, the student must have good academic results, be prominent in innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship within his or her academic skills and be a good ambassador for the university and for Sweden.

Awais Ghulam Nabi comes from Pakistan and is a student at the Master's program Supply Chain Management at JIBS. He is nominated by Jönköping University with the motivation:

"Awais Ghulam Nabi is a gifted net-worker with an entrepreneurial mindset and great social skills. Awais is always keeping himself busy and he challenges himself to develop his competence and get new experiences. Awais has been involved in several student projects and frequently takes initiatives to improve his surroundings. Jönköping University is proud to nominate Awais to Global Swede 2013.”
