Anup Banerjee

PhD Candidate

Anup is a Doctoral Candidate in the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO) at Jönköping International Business School in Sweden. His research interests focus on corporate governance and board leadership, in particular the role of the chairperson of the board. He also teaches several bachelor and master’s level courses, primarily focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, and family business. Apart from these, he also served as the founding chairperson at the JU Doctoral Student Council (JU doktorandråd) and the main representative at the Board of Doctoral Candidates (BoDC) in JIBS.

Prior to joining the doctoral position, he completed his MSc in Business Administration from JIBS with a fully-funded Swedish Institute Study Scholarship. For his academic performance and excellence in extra-curricular activities, he received the “Global Swede” award from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Sweden, and the Swedish Institute, and the “JIBS Rising Star Award” from JIBS Student Association in 2018. He also holds an MBA and BBA in Marketing from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
