Praise from fire department after evacuation

This morning, a fire alarm went off on the 5th floor by the Dean’s Office in Building A.

The fire department arrived five minutes after the alarm sounded at 07:52. They were quick to identify the source as a smoke detector reacting to dust from the ongoing construction work at the Dean’s Office.

When the alarm went off, the A, B and E buildings were immediately evacuated, and we were praised by the fire department for our rapid and well-organised response.
