Light up the darkness

Are you more tired when you wake up than when you go to sleep? This could mean that the darkness affects your circadian rhythm.

By having a close contact with daylight, your body gets the right levels of cortisol and melatonin, ie, wakefulness and sleep hormones in the blood. In our part of the world, this can be difficult during winter.

In collaboration with the Department of Lighting Design at the School of Engineering, a light room has been created at the Student Health Care. The Light Room is designed to help students who feel tired during the dark period of the year.

Read more and book the room on Student Health Care.
