Students awarded scholarships for academic achievements

Several JIBS students were awarded the Excellence Scholarship on Wednesday, May 7.

The scholarship is awarded twice a year and given to students with particularly good academic results, giving them the opportunity to study abroad. The students are ranked by grades and get a choice of fifteen of the foremost of JIBS many partner universities.

The Excellence Scholarship is sponsored by Jönköpings Borgarekassa och Bjuggska fonden, and has been awarded since 2004. Nearly 3,000,000 SEK has been allocated in scholarships to students going abroad on exchange. Last autumn the agreement between JIBS and Jönköpings Borgarekassa och Bjuggska fonden was renewed, and the group of students awarded this spring are the first since the new contract was signed.

JIBS Dean Professor Johan Roos thinks it's great that the school is able to offer students such a great reward for good work.

“Being able to reward scholarships to study abroad to students who have shown outstanding results is fantastic and just in line with JIBS principle “international at heart”, he says
