Christian König-Kersting is an economist specializing in behavioral and experimental economics. He investigates decision-making under risk and uncertainty, time preferences, social norms, and climate change mitigation. In addition, he conducts ambitious metascience projects designed to assess the robustness of published findings, improve scientific practices, and provide clearer identification of complex societal phenomena.

His work has appeared in leading field and general-interest journals, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the Journal of Banking & Finance, the Journal of Economic Theory, and the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. His research has been covered by international media outlets such as Science, Nature, The Economist, and Le Monde. 

Since 2021, Christian has served as conference coordinator for the Society for Experimental Finance, organizing multiple international conferences, summer schools, and workshops each year. He also contributes to reproducibility initiatives that promote rigorous and transparent research. In addition to frequent seminar and conference presentations, he is committed to public outreach and has presented his work to general audiences as well as high school students, helping to make contemporary economic research accessible beyond academia.
