Merriam Webster defines inclusion as “the act of including and the state of being included”. The social construction of the concept of inclusion has evolved depending on the context of the time. But questions still remain. Who does the including? Who are being included? How is inclusion promoted? Enforced? What are the impacts of inclusion? Is exclusion the lack of inclusion or a separate problem? Is inclusion the same as integration and if not, what is the difference?
