Call for papers: Specialnummer om kvinnors företagande

Professor Lene Foss är gästredaktör för ett specialnummer av International Small Business Journal. 

Sedan många år tillbaka finns forskning om kvinnors företagande under vårt tak. Professor Helene Ahl ingår i forskargruppen Embla, där forskare från flera lärosäten tittar på just det. Helene har under flera år även samforskat med bland andra professor Lene Foss, som från och med hösten finns hos oss som professor i Skolchefsinstitutet Länk till annan webbplats, öppnas i nytt fönster.. 

Förutom skolchefsforskningen så är Lene fortfarande verksam inom forskning om entreprenörskap, och i år är hon inbjuden som gästredaktör för specialnumret Richness in Diversity: Towards more contemporary research conceptualisations of women’s entrepreneurship i tidskriften International Small Business Journal. 

Deadline för papers är 31 mars, den som vill diskutera ett eventuellt bidrag i förväg kan kontakta Lene eller någon av de andra redaktörerna.

Potential topics and research questions can include but are not limited to: 

• How do different organisational and sectoral contexts impact women’s entrepreneurial endeavours and entrepreneurial management strategies? 
  
• Why do entrepreneurship policy and support instruments continue to focus on ‘fixing the women’ while often failing to recognise the support needs and differences of women? 
  
• How can theories adopted from outside the entrepreneurship/small business fields shed light on women’s entrepreneurship and their management strategies? 
  
• How can feminist theories assist us in better understanding the diversity of women’s entrepreneurship?
  
• What role does gender and other contexts play in women’s entrepreneurship?
  
• How should women’s entrepreneurship be better conceptualised so as to better understand the diversity, strategic management and growth dimensions of venture creation?
  
• Which theoretical, conceptual or methodological lessons can we take from the research on women’s entrepreneurship and bring to the small business and entrepreneurship field in general?
