Den 6-7 mars 2018 anordnar Skolporten en konferens i Stockholm för dig som undervisar i SFI. Konferensen handlar bland annat om nyanländas sociala inkludering med hjälp av sfi och metodik för individanpassad sfi-undervisning.

The key themes will include: • Lifelong learning pedagogies: critical, digital and flexible • Learning cities and regions • Social mobility and inclusion • Learning enrichment and well-being throughout life • Building capability for the workplace: apprenticeships, re-skilling, work-based learning. In general, this conference addresses the issue of how VPET can be made fit for the future in the light of structural change and shifts in values (i.a. digitalisation and pluralisation). The aim of this European seminar is to explore biographical trajectories of theorists, initiators, and activists or of various forms of adult education, and to analyze what led them to become 'pioneers' in adult education. This requires reflection on the meaning of an 'adult education pioneer'. Another aim is to identify new figures, more particularly women pioneers, who, up to now, have not been recognized to the same extent as men.

"Older adults’ well-being: The contributions of education and learning". We can discuss well-being departing from very different scientific fields and question whether our practices as adult educators have an influence on older adults’ well-being. To take a focus on well-being in our scientific meeting seems appropriate to reach two main goals: first, it is sufficiently broad so that we can include most of the ongoing research processes on older adults. Secondly, it is a way to call for the scientific community reflection capacity, so to contribute to a clearer and rigorous understanding of the meanings of well-being later in life.
