Congratulations to CEnSE Thesis Award Winner

Patrick Andersson and his thesis titled "The Role of Education in Shaping Migration Decisions - An Analysis of the Higher Education Reform of 1977 in Sweden."

We would like to thank all the participants who submitted their interesting essays for our Best Thesis Award 2023. We are impressed by the high quality of many of the submissions. However, only one essay can emerge as the winner, and this year, it is Patrick Andersson and his essay titled "The Role of Education in Shaping Migration Decisions - An Analysis of the Higher Education Reform of 1977 in Sweden." This thesis deserves an honorary mention for its novel approach in highlighting the economic pressure on indigenous populations from modern industry. By shedding light on this crucial issue, the thesis emphasizes the urgent need for political and economic systems to recognize and respect the real value created by indigenous communities.
